Tattered Flag
One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I’m not sure where people are being misled, but I do know this: our country was born out of divine inspiration—rooted in the one true God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Now, I don’t believe anyone should be forced to share that faith, but I do believe there must be guiding principles for inhabiting this nation.

First, we should not permit immigrants whose deepest conviction is hatred for America. Scripture says, “How can a robber enter a strong man’s house and steal his goods unless he first ties up the strong man?” That is exactly what we’ve done. We have opened our doors to those who despise our values and freedoms, and in doing so, we’ve tied our own hands. Worse still, we’ve weakened justice itself—diminishing the penalties for crimes against our people and our land, making laws against people’s right of self-defense, and not holding those in authority accountable.

Second, we’ve trapped our children in schools that confine them for eight hours a day—squelching imagination, freedom, and curiosity. Instead of nurturing truth, we’ve allowed indoctrination with half-truths and falsehoods. We’ve standardized stupidity and even celebrated evil during the most formative years of our children’s lives. Is it any wonder why so many grow up to burn our flag and despise the dream it represents?

Third, we’ve stopped looking at history rationally. Rather than learning from it, we have applied retribution to a generation that has not experienced the hardship they so dutifully bear. In doing so, we’ve discarded the wisdom history offers. Take our separation from England: one of the main reasons was oppressive taxation without protection. How is today any different? We pour money into a government that fails to prosecute, imprison, or punish the wicked.

Do not mistake me—I love America. I believe it is still the greatest place on earth to live. But where is our pride? Where is the confidence that once refused to let anyone insult our country, steal our freedoms, or harm our children?

I honor this nation and those who gave their lives to defend it. But when I see women marching in favor of countries where they wouldn’t even be allowed to wear shorts—let alone speak publicly—I have to question how much sanity we have left, and the viability of preserving the blessings of freedom for the future.
